GW10 Captain Picks

Above mare my captain rankings for Gameweek 10.  For comparisons sakes Fantasy Football Scout have Van Persie is 1st place on their poll (42% of the vote), Bale 2nd (24%), in third is Mata (6%), 4th is Tevez (4%) and 5th is Defoe (3%).    Lukaku was not an option for the Scout's poll but is on the bench for their Team of the Week Scout Picks.  This will be a really interesting game for him against Southampton's porous defence to see if he can live up to his bristling  potential.

I have used these rankings for myself in the last couple of weeks, basically helping me decide who to pick between the two or three options I had. Last week I opted for Ba who topped my rankings and I was rewarded with 16 points.  The week prior I picked Nolan, 3rd in my rankings behind Suarez and Berbatov.  The former I did not own, the latter was an injury doubt.  Nolan scored and assisted to bag me 24 pts.  These two picks have kept me in the hunt over the last few weeks to be quite frank.  This week I will be mostly captaining Gareth Bale.

Below you'll find my updated Captains Options Matrix, showing all the likely candidates for the armband over the next six gameweeks and the relative point forecast using my model.  The likes of Lukaku are not genuine armband candidates on a week on week basis so are not featured here.

Looking at this over the next 6 weeks it boils down to RVP (4 picks), Suarez, Ba (3), Bale, and Jelavic (2) being the key players to own.
